The powerball jackpot winner and his mother.
The $337 million Powerball winner named Donald Lawson plans to keep it real. He walked into a Sunoco gas station in Lapeer and there was a long line, so he went on the line and picked his own numbers which are 6, 27, 46, 51, 56 with a powerball of 21. After learning that he won, the 44-year-old Michigan man who used to work as a railroad engineer quit his job. The lottery that he won on Friday, August 15th, 2012 is the third-largest in Powerball history, and seventh-largest jackpot in U.S. history. He came forward to collect at the Michigan Lottery headquarters in Lansing where he got interviewed by the reporters. He intends to do the typical lottery-winner stuff: retire, take care of his family, travel, and get a new place to live.
