When I look around in CNN homepage, this title caught my eyes. I thought literally she changed her brain, so I wondered 'In mordern medical, brain can transplant surgery?' However, it's not as my guess. She tried to change her disability. This article is very impressed.
Her whole left side of body can't any feeling, so her mother thought she can live over 5 age. But she's learn and practise. In addition, she spent the first 26 years of her life having to read and reread for understanding, but she has photographic visual memory and verbatim auditory memory. That was her survivor tool. She survived from her disability by her efforts.
Many people say, disability can't fix, so just give up. But, Barbara Arrowsmith didn't give up.
If you have problem, don't give up. You can survive as Barbara Arrowsmith.
i agree with you that the headline is somewhat misleading. anyway, i really like this kind of story, it's very inspiring to me!! :)
